BKK ticket prices to rise from 1 June
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced that ticket prices will rise from Sunday. The prices of single tickets, ten-trip tickets and time-based tickets will also increase from 1 June.
The price of a single ticket will increase from 450 to 500 forints. Tickets purchased from the driver will rise from 600 to 700 forints. A 10-trip ticket will increase from 4,000 to 4,500 forints. A 30-minute ticket will rise from 530 to 600 forints. A 90-minute ticket will increase from 750 to 850 forints. The Budapest 24-hour ticket will rise from 2,500 to 2,750 forints.
The price of the monthly pass will remain unchanged.
A detailed list of products affected by the change can be found on the BKK website. Tickets purchased at the current price will be valid for one year after the price change, i.e. until 31 May 2026. Tickets purchased in mobile form or as time-based tickets will be valid for one year from the date of purchase.
