The Magic of Vivaldi – The Four Seasons at the Margaret Island Theatre

Consisting of four violin concertos, it now brings the magical atmosphere of the Italian Baroque to Margaret Island in a new dimension, using 21st-century tools. This unique musical experience features aristocratic choreography performed in period costumes and stunning 3D visuals of patinated palaces and landscapes displayed on a giant 17x6 metre LED wall. In August, the Margaret Island Theatre, the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra and the Budapest Dance Theatre will premiere their joint production: A Magic of Vivaldi: The Four Seasons, a 3D multimedia show. MAGIC OF VIVALDI – Audiovisual Journey
Three hundred years ago, in 1725, a special ship entered the port of Venice. On board was a shipment: Antonio Vivaldi’s freshly printed sheet music for The Four Seasons – a piece of music that would go on to rewrite the history of music forever. Three centuries later, in 2025, this event will be commemorated with a stunning visual concert.
This audiovisual journey is an epoch-making artistic experiment in which music, dance and spectacle merge in perfect harmony, bringing the picturesque yet flesh-and-blood world of Venice to life.
An authentic musical performance is accompanied by precisely choreographed dance movements, while the magical world of Venice is brought to life on a gigantic LED wall with picturesque detail and a three-dimensional spatial experience. This magical harmony of sight and sound transcends genre boundaries, captivating the viewer completely. This live concert is a unique, epoch-making artistic experiment on a global scale. Following the Hungarian premiere, the piece will embark on a world tour.
