Workshop for Italian Folk Dance and Music

Join the first event of an exciting new series celebrating the vibrant traditions of Southern Italy - from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on 21 March at the Italian Institute Budapest, for free. The event is called Workshop for Italian Folk Dance and Music and as the name suggests, it will lead you to the fascinating world of Italian folk dance and music. You can learn the rhythmic steps of Pizzica, Tammurriata, and Tarantella – passionate dances that will make you feel the heartbeat of Italy. And you can dive into the world of traditional Italian instruments like Tamburello, Guitar, Accordion, and explore singing techniques. You'll experience harmony, melody, and rhythm through the lens of Southern Italian music.

This workshop is a unique opportunity to be introduced to the rich culture, music, and dances of Southern Italy, completely free of charge. Whether you're a dance enthusiast, music lover, or just curious, join the group and be part of an unforgettable experience.
