The Art and Mind of Agnes Denes

Agnes Denes was born in 1931 in Budapest, moved to Sweden and settled in the United States in the 1950s. Before diving and turning to the visual arts she began a systematic visual experimentation, she reinterpreted the disciplines of mathematics, philosophy, psychology, and linguistics. Her art vizualizes and represents the nature and paradoxes of human knowledge and is based on ecology and logic. She was one of the first person who integrate environmental awareness into art. This periodic exhibition includes photographic documentation of some of the artist’s emblematic ecological works. Her messages could not be more actual because of the ecological crisis of nowadays. Her art teaches and helps us of the global survival of humanity.
