Don't miss the Easter Fair

If you're out and about in the city, don't miss the Easter Fair in Vörösmarty Square. There will be workshops, creative activities, music and dance programmes, as well as beautiful floral decorations and a floral gate that invites you to take an Instagram-worthy selfie. Of course, you won't go hungry amidst all the fun: there will be eight gastronomic exhibitors offering a variety of food to suit every budget.

Art Aqua: feel the power of water 

Discover the power of water through the beauty of art at Budapest Zoo's latest exhibition. Here you can see various works of art that reflect the theme of water through photography, painting, sculpture, spectacular water and water installations, light and sound effects, and moving LED wall installations. The exhibition is housed in the new Biodome, which makes it even more exciting. An important detail for your visit: the entrance won't be the same as the usual entrances to the zoo: go to the gate at Állatkerti krt. 16, if you are curious about this exhibition.

Have an amazing day at the City Park 

If you don't feel like spending a fortune this Easter in Budapest, don't worry, you don't have to. April offers a lot of free programmes in the city, but if you decide only to have a nice day at the City Park, well, that's also a fantastic idea. You can walk and picnic, visit some of the best playgrounds on the Pest side of the city and, of course, admire the unique, award-winning buildings in the park, such as the House of Music Hungary. Easter Monday fun at the Railway History Park

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a family day at Budapest's Railway History Park, the largest open-air railway theme park in Europe, on Easter Monday. The colourful programme includes a creative craft workshop, an interactive magic show, music and dance, face painting, glitter tattoos and a search for the Easter Bunny. Don't miss it with the kids, they'll love it!

Skanzen, Hungary's Open Air Museum is unmissable at Easter

If you are interested in how people lived in Hungary's villages and rural towns 100-200 years ago, visit the Hungarian Open Air Museum in Szentendre. Discover their work, their traditions and celebrate Easter as they did. On Easter Sunday and Monday, there is a full day of theatre, concerts, demonstrations, crafts and dance.
