Malevo Budapest 2025

Malevo, the World-Famous Dance Show at the Margaret Island Open-Air Theatre

Malevo, who gained worldwide fame on America's Got Talent, is coming to Margaret Island after performing in Las Vegas, New York, Paris and London. They have performed in front of the British royal family and shared the stage with Ricky Martin. For ten years, they have tirelessly showcased Argentine traditions in a modern guise to audiences around the world.

Their performance combines elements of physical strength, agility, flamenco, tango and Irish step dancing to provide the audience with an extraordinary visual and immersive theatrical experience. Their masterful presentation of the Argentinean Malambo dances will stimulate all the senses and bring the wild freedom and blazing passion of South America to the heart of the capital.

"For me, the essence of the malambo is sacred and inviolable, but I enjoy experimenting with it. The focus of our performances is, of course, the dance itself, presented in an archaic style yet with a contemporary twist. Modern elements appear in the choreography, music and costumes, but we are always faithful to our roots. I believe that combining tradition and innovation brings the production to life,” said Matías Jaime, the company's founder.

The Malevo show is more than just a dance party; it is a complex stage experience. They enrich traditional Malambo steps with modern stylistic features, creating their own unique style by mixing hip-hop, flamenco and acrobatic elements. Every movement exudes fire and passion, and the constantly pulsating, flowing energy captivates every viewer. The clatter of boots, the momentum of lassos and the harmonious sound of live drums dazzle at every moment, and you can feel the undeniable power of their superhuman harmony, coordination and dynamics, which have made them world-famous. The company's members are characterised by extraordinary discipline and dedication, ensuring that all their performances represent the highest standard.

The huge stage of the Margaret Island Theatre, surrounded by ancient trees and nestled in the heart of Budapest's urban jungle, will provide an unparalleled backdrop for this fascinating performance, which has never been seen before in the city. This Friday, the meeting of the raw wildness, power and passion of nature and Argentine culture will create an atmosphere that promises not just an evening or summer experience, but one for a lifetime.
