You Can Now Ask the Budapest Passenger Safety Service for Help in the BudapestGO App

The Budapest Passenger Safety Service ensures that you travel safely through the coordinated work of the Budapest Municipal Public-Space Supervision Directorate, BKK and BKV. Not only do they check the order on public transport lines, but also at stops and they are constantly present on key lines (such as tram lines 1, 4 and 6). In addition to ensuring your safe travel, they also help our fellow citizens in socially difficult situations who are excluded from travelling, in cooperation with the municipal and NGO homeless care services.

When and how can you ask for help?

  • In case of emergency, such as a health-related issue or sickness of a passenger, an accident, aggression or any other situation that threatens the safety of you or your property, call 112 for help and notify the driver, according to the current process.

  • If someone is breaking the travel rules, for example if they are drunk, intoxicated, or otherwise disturbing the journey or polluting the vehicle, contact the Budapest Passenger Safety Service, ticket inspectors or the driver. If this is not possible, you can call the Budapest Passenger Security Service via the BudapestGO app under More – Need help? or by calling +36 1 301 7500.

The improvement will be gradually available in the app for all BudapestGO users within a few days. If you don't have automatic updates set, download the latest version of the app from the app store.
