The Museum of Ethnography in Budapest has made history by becoming the first Hungarian museum to win the esteemed iF DESIGN AWARD, the museum reported on it's website. The museum's new permanent exhibition, launched in autumn 2024, was recognized in the "Exhibition Design and Implementation" category, standing out among over 11,000 global entries. Designed by the renowned Art1st studio, the exhibition offers a fresh, immersive experience that combines tradition with cutting-edge technology.

Located within the Liget Budapest Project, the museum's new home finally provides a space worthy of its exceptional collection. Spanning 3,000 square meters, the exhibition showcases 3,600 artifacts across eight thematic sections. Visitors can explore Hungarian and international ethnographic treasures through interactive installations and multimedia displays, creating an engaging and educational journey through diverse cultures.
