Let your senses guide you to Essence Delicates
It’s not hard to find fantastic places in the inner districts of Budapest, as the city center is full of great restaurants, cafes, bars and fabulous shops. However, if you want to have breakfast, lunch or a coffee in a special place where you can also buy incredible gastronomic souvenirs, then head to Essence Delicates. It’s worth taking a short bus ride to get there: you can take bus number 5 from the city center to the place, which is on Nagy Lajos király út. A short walk from the stop and you'll see the entrance, you can't miss it.
It's a good idea to have a rough idea of what you want before you go in, as you won't be able to make a quick choice from the huge selection inside. They have great coffee, pastries and cakes, but you can also stay for lunch: there are usually two types of soup and 3-4 main courses to choose from. Everything is of high quality and very tasty!
The specialty of the place is that you can not only eat and drink, but also buy great gastronomic gifts - artisanal products, paprika, Hungarian wines, specially packaged vinegars are waiting for you. And if you want, they even make unique gift packages in the store.
Essence Delicates is open from 8am to 3pm. Except on Fridays, when it turns into a bar-like shop for the afternoon, sometimes with theme evenings or wine tastings. The place is also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your four-legged friend, they are welcome too.
