Welcome to The Garden: A Kert Bisztró is Always an Exciting Culinary Adventure
In May 2016, after 68 years, the former Borház family restaurant reopened as a family business. The owners are carrying on the legacy of their grandfather and his brother: they had a great dream to continue this tradition and to see the building and the garden regain their old function.
When you visit A Kert Bistro (The Garden Bistro), you will feel a touch of the past, but at the same time you will fall into a very pleasant, sophisticated, modern environment, where you can enjoy a fantastic menu (which is changed several times a year) based on Hungarian cuisine, but also daring to venture into the world of international flavours. You can try wild boar shanks stewed in port wine, steaks, fish or meat-free dishes. The dishes are beautiful, the aromas are captivating and you will instantly fall in love with the flavours!
The wine list focuses on Hungarian wines, but there is also a large selection of beers and spirits. With summer approaching, it is also worth checking out the cocktails! Save room for dessert, too, as the sweets and cakes are not only eye-catching but also incredibly delicious! Our favourites are The Garden's Raspberry and the reimagined Somlói Galuska.
Looking for a venue for a partner meeting or business lunch? Kert Bistro also offers a Weekly Business Lunch, available every weekday between 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm.
At the Kert Bisztró, don't miss the beautiful garden with its old trees, and don't forget to take a selfie in the rose arbour!
The restaurant is child-friendly, so your children are welcome too, and they can enjoy themselves in the garden's play tower between 15 April and 10 October.
How to get there? A Kert Bisztró can be reached from the city centre on buses 5, 7, 110, 112. Reservations are strongly recommended.
