Hungarian Railway History Park – A Living Museum of Hungary’s Railway Past in Budapest

The Hungarian Railway History Park is the largest open-air railway museum in Central Europe. The museum spans over 70,000 square meters and features more than 100 pieces of historic rolling stock, including steam engines, diesel and electric locomotives, passenger and freight cars, and even royal and government carriages.

- Locomotive lineup – including the famous 424 steam engine from 1912
- Royal carriage and waiting room – recreating the journeys of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth (Sissi)

By public transport: From Lehel tér (Metro line M3), take buses 30 or 30A to the Vasúttörténeti Park stop. Alternatively, take a train from Nyugati Railway Station to Rákosrendező, which is a short walk from the park.
