Board Games, Coffee, Sweet Treats and Much More: Cinkelt Kocka is Well Worth Visiting
Although there are so many fascinating cafes and restaurants in the city centre, sometimes it is definitely worth getting off the beaten track and discovering something a little more... well, suburban, but also more exciting. Like for example the board game and café called Cinkelt kocka, which is absolutely worth visiting.

Cinkelt kocka is located on the Pest side, in district XIV, and can be easily reached from the city centre by bus 7, 8E, 108E, 110, 112 and 133E. Get off at the Tisza István tér stop and cross the street to the square. At first glance it might look like it blends in with the grey-white apartment blocks on the square, but trust us: inside it is anything but boring!
The place itself isn't big, they only have 7 or 8 tables but they also have a terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine from late spring to early autumn. But the interior is also very welcoming.

Amazing coffee and cakes
If you arrive at the counter the big question comes: what can they serve you? And the answer is not easy, because you might feel like tasting a little bit of everything from their offer.

They have Herz New York Signature Blend 100% Arabica coffee, combining the flavours of Brazil, El Salvador, Ethiopia and India in premium quality. It has a medium roast, with a Northern Italian profile (not oily, easy to interpret), with cocoa and hazelnuts notes. Their barista can make you any type of coffee, from espresso to latte, and you can choose of course plant-based milk alternatives like oats, coconut, almonds, rice and peas.
They also have delicious cookies, croissants, cheesecakes, lemon cake and gluten-free cookies, Spájz syrups and a variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages like Italian country wines, beers, and spirits.

Board games for everyone
Dropping by only for a quick coffee or staying a little bit more? If you choose the latter, you can also bring your laptop - we often see people working from "home office" in here - or try their board games. The backside of the place is a board game shop, where you can buy some new additions to your collection but you can also try new games here or you can also rent board games.

On their website, they write that they regularly organise events ranging from board game lessons to novelty launches and craft workshops, so whether you come with your partner, family, friends or colleagues, we are sure you will find something to suit you.
